Does Scribbix integrate with my EMR?
Scribbix generates structured notes that copy-paste directly into your EMR fields. Most OMFS EMRs don't have a public API, so we've optimized for the fastest manual workflow, with sections that map directly to WinOMS fields.
Do I need special hardware?
No. Scribbix runs on your phone (iOS/Android). Open the app during the consult, tap record, and the chart is ready before you walk out.
What if the transcription misses something?
Every chart goes through a review screen before you copy it. You can edit any section before pasting into your EMR.
Do I need patient consent to record?
Yes. Best practice is brief verbal consent at the start of the visit, for example: I use a documentation assistant that listens so I can focus on you, is that okay? Recording laws vary by state and some states require all parties to consent, so verbal consent at the start of every recorded visit is the safe default. Audio is encrypted and deleted after your note is generated.
Is it HIPAA compliant?
Yes. Scribbix operates under a Business Associate Agreement (BAA) with every practice. Audio is encrypted and deleted after chart generation.
How accurate is the billing code detection?
Scribbix maps procedures to CDT/ICD-10/CPT codes based on OMFS-specific terminology. You review codes before copying to ensure accuracy.
Can I customize the note format?
Yes. Templates match common OMFS workflows (consultation, operative, follow-up). Custom templates available on request.
